Why I love the church

Love and affection for something or someone is based on reason. Think about it. Why do you love your spouse, or children, or parents? Why do you love your favorite vacation spot? Why do you love that one restaurant you always go to? The answer to these questions centers around one or multiple reasons. What about the church? Should we love this nearly 2,000 year-old institution? Absolutely! But why? Following are several reasons why I love the church.
I love the church because IT IS WHY CHRIST CAME TO THIS EARTH (Matt. 16:18; Eph. 2:20). I love the church because IT MAKES UP THE BEST NATION ON EARTH (1 Peter 2:9).
I love the church because IT IS WHO GOD CHOSE TO RECEIVE ALL BLESSINGS (Eph. 1:4).
I love the church because IT IS MY FAMILY (Eph. 1:5; Rom. 8:29).
I love the church because IT ALONE POSSESSES THE TRUTH (1 Tim. 3:15).
I love the church because IT IS TO SHARE THE TRUTH WITH THE WORLD (1 Tim. 3:15; Eph. 3:10).
I love the church because IT IS TO BE THE BEACON OF DOING GOOD (Galatians 6:10).
I love the church because IT IS THE BODY OF CHRIST (Eph. 1:22-23; Col. 1:18).
I love the church because IT IS WHO CHRIST WILL COME FOR IN HIS RETURN (1 Thess. 4:13-17).
I love the church because IT IS LOVED, CHERISHED, AND NOURISHED BY CHRIST (Eph. 5:25, 29).
I love the church because IT IS WHAT CHRIST DIED FOR (Eph. 5:25).
There are many more reasons I could list as to why I love the church. There is nothing more precious and important in this life than the church. When we love something, we are willing to do anything for it. So, why do you love the church?
